If this is real, should it have a cotton cord? Sure, it is supposed to look like a tampon string, but a) I would think a rapist would likely yank out a tampon (maybe not), but b) that string will get pretty nasty, pretty quick.

Well, by the virtue of b), ‘cotton’ tampon cords should also be getting pretty nasty, pretty quick.  There’s nothing to say that the strands of that braided cord *have* to be cotton, or even unwaxed cotton…

Further, I’d like to bring up c): from a technical standpoint, wouldn’t there still be a risk of self-injury when attempting to remove this?  I don’t have the equipment myself, but all my close examination over the years reminds me that it’s not usually ‘slack’ down there.  Also everyone’s built slightly different; one unfortunate woman with ‘meat curtains’ who’s not extremely careful could well end up with an unintended labial piercing…
